Other Platform's

First of all, as always, thank you to Dredge the Lethe for giving me permission to write this introduction.

As the Readers of this Blog most know by now, I'am often on Spotify and switch through so many Artists. And in this Sence i found also Dredge the Lethe!
Since I personally really like listening to symphonic / power / speed metal, it was pretty easy for me to get into this band because their genre is Symphonic Black Metal. It didn't always feel difficult to listen to for me, as is unfortunately the case with some genres.

The Line-Up is as such
Corné Marais (Guitars)
Chris Coetzee (Guitars)
Floyd Brollo (Vocals)
Ethan le Roux (Bass (2023-present))

May 9, 2022, brought a breath of fresh air from Cape Town, South Africa. The band Dredge the Lethe released their debut album, Bound for Oblivion, independently. In this way they have already been able to gather a large fan base.
1. Hallowed Eve (04:32)
2. Macabre Waltz (03:47)
3. Pathological Threat (06:29)
4. Ebullition (03:48)
5. Axiom Ancestry (05:35)
6. Sinsetter (06:16)
7. Humanimalism (04:43)
8. When Madness Comes a'Knocking (07:44)
9. Wither Blossom (07:06)
10. Dyustopia (07:32)
Full-Playtime: 57:32

As always, we were able to ask our questions, which we are happy to include.
Ceyla"Is there any band that inspires you the most? Or, if there isn’t such a band, where do you draw your inspiration from?"
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
D.t.L: "Band names that pop up often when we talk about music would include Machine Head, Cradle of Filth, Dark Fortress, Opeth, Destroy Destroy Destroy. All of these bands have had an undeniable influence on us as musicians."

You can definitely hear the influences of the bands mentioned above in the songs, but the sound of the songs is still very unique. Unique enough to let your imagination run wild.  Even if that's hard to imagine with some music genres.

A few months later, in April 2023, their next album, released independently, was released. It was titled Dawn of the Black Sun and captivated even more fans of symphonic black metal, thus contributing to the band's fascination.
1. Poison Frog (03:42)
2. Memento Mori (08:45)
3. Voodoom (04:34)
4. Chruch of Burdens (04:49)
5. Lethe Expected (03:35)
6. Rise of the Dark Realms (07:10)
7. Her Home (05:07)
8. Marks of the Beast (05:00)
9. Whore of the Harvest (04:35)
10. Hallowed Beast (06:19)
11. Apex Predator (02:14)
Full-Paytime: 55:50

Naturally, there was also the question of the festivals.
Ceyla: "Are there any festivals or events in Germany, or even worldwide, that you would like to attend? Some of them always offer opportunities to apply.

Everyone has different ideas about which events they might be suitable for, so we are always curious to see what the answer will be.

D.t.L: "Wacken, Bloodstock, Graspop and Download would all be a dream come true for all of us. Playing a big festival is still a big dream for us.
Bands we'd like to tour with… Again, there are so many! Any one of our influences mentioned in the previous question would be awesome! "

As many of You know, i do love to recommend to different Festivals, like Dong Open AirFull ForceRock HarzSummer BreezeTurock Open Air , Party San Open AirFrostfeuernächte and many many more. The only thing we could share is the Summer Breeze page.

Nonetheless, we're keeping our fingers crossed for the upcoming festival season for the band where they get the Chance to Play.

However, as with the other bands, perhaps blog readers could send suggestions to the festivals. Just to point out that there are many more who would be happy to have a chance.

We now try to include the complete discography in these presentations to make the search easier.
[2023.06.12] The Swamp (Single)
[2023.11.24] Triumph Over the Horde (Single)
[2024.02.24] Ouroboros (Memento Mori) (Single)
[2025.04.20] Blood Metal (Album)

Of course, we always give artists and musicians the option to leave a message for the readers. These messages are always very heartwarming, even if you shouldn't mention them in metal. And yet, they are all absolutely lovely people.
Ceyla: "Is there anything you would like the readers of this blog to know about you and your music?"
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
D.t.L: "We are mindblown and insanely grateful for all our fans in Germany and everywhere else in the world."

With this, we had another Honor to write about a Awesome Artists and we hope to fascinate so much more People to look into their Music. 🎵🤘🏻

All named artists, as well as festivals and the entire discography, are linked throughout the article!

[Review] Timeless Rage Album „My Kingdom Come“

Disclaimer: The band/solo artist knows about my blog. I do have permission to write about them and to use their/his picture. All links are placed, as well as the representative videos on YouTube. Image rights go to the Band Itself - Timesless Rage With “My Kingdom Come,” Timeless Rage makes a powerful statement in the realm of symphonic power metal—an album that impresses in equal measure with its energy, atmosphere, and musical precision. From the very first bars, it becomes clear: here, epic grandeur meets passionate songwriting. The album’s sound is characterized by a successful balance between driving guitar riffs, orchestral arrangements, and catchy melodies. The symphonic elements never feel overdone, but instead blend harmoniously into the overall picture, lending the songs a cinematic depth. Fans of bands like Nightwish or Rhapsody of Fire, in particular, are sure to get their money’s worth here. What sets “My Kingdom Come” apart is its strong emotional component. The songs con...

Self Deception (Sweden)

Most "Infos" found on Spirit of Metal Image rights are going to the Band itself - Self Deception; Picture taken from  mhf-mag.com This time it's not an approved action, but I felt it was important to post about them even though bands already have a certain status. And since I really enjoy listening to their songs at the moment, they're first in line. Or more at least i try. My writing Skills are hopefully being approved with this. Even though they are not good to begin with. 👀 Since I am writing this as a fan of the band, I am sure I am unconsciously leaving out things that are actually important, so please feel free to point them out to me. __________________________________________________ I was first introduced to Self Deception on Spotify with their song PSYCHO . From then on, things got a little out of hand. I had always been determined to listen to the accompanying Album, You Are Only As Sick As Your Secrets . After Fight Fire with Gasoline was also recommende...

Many groups that I know have achieved a certain status, but there are also some really great underground bands that deserve recognition. Personally, I am more of a symphonic, speed, or power metal listener, but sometimes I also explore other genres or sub-genres. Line-Up is as Such Master Warjomaa (does mostly everything) MV (does also everything) To pick up a few more things from official sites, I'm including them here. On various websites, including the official, claims have been made of other b...
