First of all as Always thank you to The Red Mass Ritual for giving me the Permission to write this Introduction.
As the Readers of this Blog most know by now, I'am often on Spotify and switch through so many Artists. And in this Sence i found also The Red Mass Ritual!
Many groups that I know have achieved a certain status, but there are also some really great underground bands that deserve recognition. Personally, I am more of a symphonic, speed, or power metal listener, but sometimes I also explore other genres or sub-genres.
The Line-Up is as such:
Luis Barrios - vocals
Vince Scotti - guitar
Doug Sharf - bass
Kevin Petry - drums
That's why I'm very happy about this Blog. So far, I've only found very good bands that I'm happy to recommend.
In September 2024 they released their single Irreversible Collisions on their own. A truly powerful debut if you want to call it that.

As always, we were able to ask our questions, which we are happy to include.
Ceyla: "Is there any band that inspires you the most? Or, if there isn’t such a band, where do you draw your inspiration from? If neither applies, how did you come up with these two sub-genres, if you can still call them that?"
All of our Question were answered by the Guitarist Vince Scotti. We are visibly excited to help out an up-and-coming band a little.
Vince: "Some of our bigger death metal influences are The Black Dahlia Murder, Revocation, Cannibal Corpse, Death. We also try to take bits and pieces from other genres too. We are also big thrash fans and love Megadeth and Slayer."
You can definitely sense the influences from the bands mentioned above, but The Red Mass Ritual have found their own style, which they follow consistently. I haven’t been a fan for long, but from what I’ve heard so far, it’s something special.
Here is a little snippet from there Bandcamp Notice
Fast, scary, melodic death metal, from the tri-state!
Come see us live!
At the beginning of August 2024, The Red Mass Ritual honored us with their debut Single Lab Of Doom, with which they stormed straight into the hearts of their fans and made themselves unmistakable for them.

Of course, there was also the question of the festivals.
Ceyla: "Are there any festivals or events in Germany, or even worldwide, that you would like to attend? Some of them always offer opportunities to apply."
Everyone has different ideas about which events they might be suitable for, so we are always curious to see what the answer will be.
Vince: "We would love to play Maryland Deathfest one day. We’d like to open for Cannibal Corpse one day too!"
As many of You know, i do love to recommend to different Festivals, like Dong Open Air, Full Force, Rock Harz, Turock Open Air , Party San Open Air, Frostfeuernächte, Dark Troll Festival and many many more. The only thing we could try would be to write to Graspop or, as always, share the Summer Breeze page.
Nonetheless, we're keeping our fingers crossed for the upcoming festival season for the band where they get the Chance to Play.
On October 31, 2024, the Band honored us once again. This time with an EP called Burgundy Horror and lasting a full 18:27.
1. Lab of Doom (05:06)
2. Irreversible Collisions (03:25)

To add another comment from the supporter on their Bandcamp:
vvill: This is a juicy cut of modern death metal. Great production, killer leads and bass lines, and growls that would make Undeath proud.
Of course, we always give artists and musicians the option to leave a message for the readers. These messages are always very heartwarming, even if you shouldn't mention them in metal. And yet, they are all absolutely lovely people.
Ceyla: "Is there anything you would like the readers of this blog to know about you and your music?"
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Vince: "Yes. We have an EP we are very proud of called Burgundy Horror. We have an official video out for our song “Sometimes Dead is Better” on YouTube (the video is sick)
We are currently as of May 2025 working on a full length album and plan on getting into the studio later on this year.
Our next release will make all your darkest fantasies a reality.
Come check us out!"
With this, we had another Honor to write about a Awesome Band and we hope to fascinate so much more People to look into there Music.
All named artists, as well as festivals and the entire discography, are linked throughout the article!
