[Introduction] Eldprov (Sweden)

First of all as Always thank you to Eldprov for giving me the Permission to write this Introduction.

As the Readers of this Blog most know by now, I'am often on Spotify and switch through so many Artists. And in this Sense i found also Eldprov!

Many groups that I know have achieved a certain status, but there are also some really great underground bands that deserve recognition. Personally, I am more of a symphonic, speed, or power metal listener, but sometimes I also explore other genres or sub-genres.

The Line-Up is as Such:

Bass: Robert Lindmark

Drums: Emil Rova

A Little Notice in Metal Archives say : Eldprov (literally: fire test) is Swedish for ordeal or baptism of fire/trial by fire.

In February 2020, the single "Until Nightfall" was released, and with it, the first to win the hearts of their growing fan base. There were only 100 copies of this single.

As always, we were able to ask our questions, which we are happy to include.

Ceyla: "Is there any band that inspires you the most? Or, if there isn’t such a band, where do you draw your inspiration from?"

Jonas: "As I am the member that write all the music in Eldprov I can answer that question. I dont really have any particular band that inspires me to write music. I get my inspiration to write music when I'm out riding my Harley, walking in the woods, well really anything that makes me feel calm gets me inspired and my creativity flowing."

You can definitely hear the influences of Nature in the songs, but the sound of the songs is still very unique. Unique enough to let your imagination run wild and just let yourself be carried away. Even if that's hard to imagine with some music genres.

In July 2021, the band honored their fans again with their next single, called Hunt. We can imagine that calls for an album came quickly.

Of course, there was also the question of the festivals.

Ceyla: "Are there any festivals or events in Germany, or even worldwide, that you would like to attend? Some of them always offer opportunities to apply." 

Everyone has different ideas about which events they might be suitable for, so we are always curious to see what the answer will be.

Jonas: "We would love to tour in Germany and attend the big festivals over there such as Wacken, Summer Breeze etz. Bands to tour with? Thats a hard question cause there are so many."

As many of You know, i do love to recommend to different Festivals, like Dong Open Air, Full Force, Rock Harz, Turock Open Air , Party San Open Air, Frostfeuernächte, Dark Troll Festival and many many more. The only thing we could try would be to write to Graspop or, as always, share the Summer Breeze page.

Nonetheless, we're keeping our fingers crossed for the upcoming festival season for the band where they get the Chance to Play.

The fans' calls were heard, as the long-awaited album Rift was released on September 16, 2022. Its bombastic sound captured the hearts of all listeners. Only 500 Copies.

Of course, we always give artists and musicians the option to leave a message for the readers. These messages are always very heartwarming, even if you shouldn't mention them in metal. And yet, they are all absolutely lovely people.
