First of all as Always thank you to Abaddon for giving me the Permission to write this Introduction.

As the Readers of this Blog most know by now, I'am sometimes on Bandcamp and switch through so many Artists. And in this Sense i found also Abaddon!
Many groups that I know have achieved a certain status, but there are also some really great underground bands that deserve recognition. Personally, I am more of a symphonic, speed, or power metal listener, but sometimes I also explore other genres or sub-genres.

The Line-Up is as Such
Vocals - Wian Jacobs
Guitar 1 - Marco Jacobs
Guitar 2 - Dewan Briedenhann
Bass - Divan de Kock
Drums - Evan Fourie

October 13, 2017, was supposed to be the band's beginning, as that was the date when their single "End of Days" was released, which had already captivated some fans of the blackened thrash metal genre. Themes like anarchy, politics, and fantasy/horror creatures are often the focus.
01. End of Days (04:18)
Full Playtime: 04:18

As always, we were able to ask our questions, which we are happy to include.
Ceyla: "Is there any Band that Inspires you the Most? Or if there is no such Band where do you get the Inspiration?"
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Abaddon: „Yes, there definitely are. Too many to mention all of them. Especially since each member has his own personal taste and hence, inspirations.
We do have a few common influences that we feel have shaped our overall sound, though. Some of the bands that have had a significant impact on our music include Skeletonwitch, Vader, Evile, Bloodbath, Shylmagoghnar.“

You can definitely hear the influences of the bands mentioned above in the songs, but the sound of the songs is still very unique. Unique enough to let your imagination run wild and just let yourself be carried away. Even if that's hard to imagine with some music genres.

Exactly one year later, the band graced us again, this time with a full-length album that was released on October 27, 2018, and brought their fans to great anticipation. It was named The Fractured Race and was released independently on their Bandcamp.

6. IndoctriNation (04:43)
7. Illuminati (04:03)
8. Lord of Pain (03:16)

Of course, there was also the question of the festivals.
Ceyla: "Are there any festivals or events in Germany, or even worldwide, that you would like to attend? Some of them always offer opportunities to apply."

Everyone has different ideas about which events they might be suitable for, so we are always curious to see what the answer will be.

Abaddon: „Haha, yes definitely! Once again, there are too many amazing festivals and events to mention them all. Some of us have been lucky enough to attend Wacken before, and that's always an incredible experience, so I'd keep that one on the list.
Some other festivals we would love to attend include Hellfest, Grasspop, and the Cooper's Hill Cheese Roll!“

As many of You know, i do love to recommend to different Festivals, like Dong Open Air, Full Force, Rock Harz, Summer Breeze, Turock Open Air , Party San Open Air, Frostfeuernächte, Dark Troll Festival and many many more. The only thing we could try would be to write to Graspop or, as always, share the Summer Breeze page.

Nonetheless, we're keeping our fingers crossed for the upcoming festival season for the band where they get the Chance to Play.

Two years later, their next album, titled Rise of Terror, was released on October 31, 2020, this time under their current label, MMD Records.

9. Fuck Humanity (04:30)
10. The Extinction Solution (03:52)

We now try to include the complete discography in these presentations to make the search easier.

[2023.07.28] Statues of Sorrow (Album)

Of course, we always give artists and musicians the option to leave a message for the readers. These messages are always very heartwarming, even if you shouldn't mention them in metal. And yet, they are all absolutely lovely people.

Ceyla: "Is there anything you would like the readers of this blog to know about you and your music?"
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Abaddon: „Ummm... We took this opportunity to share some essential advice. Each member had a truly useless gem to offer:
- Support metal (obviously)
- Fuck humanity (because, also obvious)
- Praise Jebus (for... well, everything, apparently)
- Check out our links (because self-promotion is key)
- And, most importantly, remember to keep up with personal hygiene (because, trust us, it matters)“

With this, we had another Honor to write about a Awesome Band and we hope to fascinate so much more People to look into there Music.

All named artists, as well as festivals and the entire discography, are linked throughout the article!
