First of all i want to thank the Band This Ending to give me the Honor to write about them!

As many Times before I did discover them over Spotify and had to admit that there Music was moving for me. Yes I know Melodic Death Metal to describe as such is difficult but it helped me a Lot.

The Band Line-Up is as such:
Linus Nirbrant (Guitars)
Mårten Hansen (Vocals)
Linus Pettersson (Bass)
Peter Nagy [Guitars] (2016-2020), [Drums] (2020-present)
Andreas Morén (Guitars)

Surprisingly for me, the first album that I heard from This Ending or still listen to from time to time was Garden of Death, which was released in April 2016.

1. Torrent of Souls (04:16)
2. Blackened Shrine (04:33)
3. Boundaries of Hell (04:16)
4. Dark Samaritan (03:38)
5. Garden of Death (04:51)
6. Victims (04:52)
7. World of Nightmares (03:41)
8. Chaos Within (05:06)
9. Vultures (05:26)
10. Our Creation  (05:29)
11. Army of (N)one  (04:08)
12. No More Silence  (04:12)

The Album itself is 54:28 and you can expect a lot of concentrated Power. You can expect topics like war, anger and even death. But I think it should be moderate and not excessive as would sometimes be the case.
As always, we were able to ask our questions, but we always give the bands or solo artists the choice whether they want to answer them or whether we can get information in another way. The Frist Question as always was "Is there any Band that Inspires you the Most? Or if there is no such Band where do you get the Inspiration? If there aren't any, how did you come up with these two sub genres, if you can still call them that?" all Answers were given by the Frontman Mårten Hansen and as always, we could hope for honest answers that would amaze us. And that is exactly what we got! His Answer to the Question is "When I started singing my main inspiration came from bands like Paradise Lost, Death, Morbid Angel and Autopsy. Now I just try to evolve my style of singing and once in a while I try to pay hommage to the old school death metal scene by doing something that sounds really old school. When it comes to the music we always try to do our own thing and we have by now established our own trademark sound for brutal yet melodic death metal. Some like to call it Blackened Death Metal.
We can only confirm that you can feel the break with his own style within the music. The homage is completely understandable. Of course, it's definitely a bit of a change for some veterans of the scene. However, pursuing your own style is a good thing with certain influences from the bands that inspired you to do so.

Their earliest album was released in 2006 and was called Inside the Machine, which laid the foundation for their newly formed band. And that was still under Metal Black Records.

1. Seed of Destruction (03:33)
2. Inside the Machine (04:01)
3. Pitch Black (04:00)
4. Plague Angel (03:52)
5. Lidless Eyes (04:50)
6. Armageddon (04:18)
7. Nailed Down (04:48)
8. Let the World Burn (03:46)
9. Into Pain (04:05)
10. This Ending (06:07)

The entire album spans a length of 43:20. We also get a clear answer to our second question "Are in Germany or more so in the World any Festivals or Events that you would like to attend? Some of them are always giving Chances to Apply to." In this case, we are always happy to receive a response because the answers are always different and we often come across festivals that we ourselves did not know about "Of course it would be great to play at all festivals available around the world. When it comes to germany I think festivals like Summer Breeze, Party San, Rock Hartz and so on would suit us great. Earlier this year we played a nice little festival outside of Magdeburg (my thoughts goes to the victims at the christmas fair and it shows we live in a really twisted world right now) called Metal Embrace. The audience usually appreciate our live shows so I'm hoping we get the chance to play even more festivals in the future. This Ending will be doing some shows in April in Europe on our tour together with uprising Swedish bands Xorsist and Retribution." And as always, we will point the festivals to them, unless, like Summer Breeze, there is a separate page where you can apply. Sometimes festivals need a little nudge to get their attention. Even though they often receive a lot of emails from all kinds of fans with all kinds of band suggestions.

To our last question "And finally, is there anything else you would like to share with the blog readers?" Of course we also received an honest and heartwarming answer from Mårten Hansen "Make sure to attend a show with This Ending or A Canorous Quintet if you want to experience an energetic live show and some great songs. If you haven't heard of the bands please make sure to check out both bands we might surprise you with our own brand of blackened melodic death metal. Looking forward to see each and everyone of you at a show soon."
