First of all as Always thank you to Abaddon Incarnate for giving me the Permission to write this Introduction.
As the Readers of this Blog most know by now, I'am often on Spotify and switch through so many Artists. And in this Sence i found also Abaddon Incarnate!
Many groups that I know have achieved a certain status, but there are also some really great underground bands that deserve recognition. Personally, I am more of a symphonic, speed, or power metal listener, but sometimes I also explore other genres or sub-genres.
Line-Up is as Such
Bill Whelan - Guitar/Backing Vocals
Olan Parkinson - Drums
Cory Annatar - Bass/ Backing Vocals
David Hynes - Vocals
With themes like death, darkness, pessimism, despotism, ignorance, they bring current issues to the forefront for their fans.
In 1995, Abaddon Incarnate burst onto the music scene with their demo cassette, When the Demons Come. At that time, they were still playing black/death metal.

As always, we were able to ask our questions, which we are happy to include.
Ceyla: "Is there any band that inspires you the most? Or, if there isn’t such a band, where do you draw your inspiration from?"
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Olan: "Of course there are many bands that have influenced Abaddon Incarnate over the years. In the early days we were heavily inspired by Morbid Angel, Immolation and Deicide, and almost anything angry and vicious coming out of the States. As we progressed beyond The Last Supper we became more interested in Grindcore and so started leaning towards Repulsion and Napalm Death and laterally Brutal Truth. Before the recording of Nadir we were listening to a lot of Nasum and that band influenced us so much we ended up recording Nadir and Dark Crusade with Mieszko in Soundlab studios in Örebro, Sweden. These days we have a pretty diverse range of influences, still including all those mentioned but also Pig Destroyer, and still Brutal Truth ... but more diverse in our interests as we get older, Killing Joke, Depeche Mode, some ambient stuff .. some real talent emerging through social media now. We are currently writing for the next album so hoping to include as many influences as possible."
You can definitely hear the influences of the bands mentioned above in the songs, but the sound of the songs is still very unique. Unique enough to let your imagination run wild and just let yourself be carried away. Even if that's hard to imagine with some music genres.
At the beginning of the year 1999, Abaddon Incarnate honored us with their debut album The Last Supper, with which they stormed straight into the hearts of their fans and made themselves unmistakable for them.

Of course, there was also the question of the festivals.
Ceyla: "Are there any festivals or events in Germany, or even worldwide, that you would like to attend? Some of them always offer opportunities to apply."
Everyone has different ideas about which events they might be suitable for, so we are always curious to see what the answer will be.
Olan: "That's a hell of a question... :) yes ALL OF THEM! Any of the big festivals would be amazing to play. Obviously Wacken Open Air, Party San, Summer Breeze .. to name a few. We played Obscene Extreme a couple of years back and would always be happy to return to that. A cool festival in Ireland is Siege of Limerick which we have also played, a great underground festival! We would love to get over to the States and play Maryland Deathfest, that would be amazing. We are playing Brutalfest in Finland soon (end of April) which we are really looking forward to, we haven't been back to Finland since we recorded The Last Supper in Tico Tico studios, long time ago now :). As far as touring with bands... anyone who will have us really, The scene is still really healthy and the festival circuit is always so intense. "
As many of You know, i do love to recommend to different Festivals, like Dong Open Air, Full Force, Rock Harz, Summer Breeze, Turock Open Air , Party San Open Air, Frostfeuernächte, Dark Troll Festival and many many more. The only thing we could try would be to write to Graspop or, as always, share the Summer Breeze page.
Nonetheless, we're keeping our fingers crossed for the upcoming festival season for the band where they get the Chance to Play.
In September 2001, Abaddon Incarnate once again rocked the music world with their album Nadir. We can also include one of the many comments here.

Of course, we always give artists and musicians the option to leave a message for the readers. These messages are always very heartwarming, even if you shouldn't mention them in metal. And yet, they are all absolutely lovely people.
Ceyla: "Is there anything you would like the readers of this blog to know about you and your music?"
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Olan: "Thanks for taking the time to read the Blog, and thanks to you guys for doing it. As a band who have been around since the days of tape trading and fanzines, it's great to see the underground being supported by people like yourselves, investing time and effort into promoting bands. If you manage to make it to any of our shows, come and say Hi and have a beer. Stay heavy and Grind On!"
With this, we had another Honor to write about a Awesome Band and we hope to fascinate so much more People to look into there Music.
All named artists, as well as festivals and the entire discography, are linked throughout the article!
