First of all as Always thank you to A.R.G. for giving me the Permission to write this Introduction.
As the Readers of this Blog most know by now, I'am often on Spotify and switch through so many Artists. And in this Sence i found also A.R.G.!
Many groups that I know have achieved a certain status, but there are also some really great underground bands that deserve recognition. Personally, I am more of a symphonic, speed, or power metal listener, but sometimes I also explore other genres or sub-genres.
The Line-Up is as Such:
Jari Kelloniemi (Bass (1987) / Guitar (1987-1994, 2011- present)
Vesa Säkkinen (Guitar (1987-1994, 2011-present), Vocals (1993-1994))
Tepa Karjalainen (Vocals, Bass (1987-1993, 2011-present))
Timo Hanhijoki (Drums (2011-present))
To add something from Metal Archives: A.R.G. originally stood for Aku Raaska Group, named after the original vocalist, but it was retroactively defined as Ancient Rotten Graveguards.
The band's demo, Broken Marshall, was released on cassette in 1987, marking the beginning of their successful career.

As always, we were able to ask our questions, which we are happy to include.
Ceyla: "Is there any band that inspires you the most? Or, if there isn’t such a band, where do you draw your inspiration from?"
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
A.R.G.: "The bands inspired list is so large that i must pick up few bands that kicked my ass: Sodom, Destruction, Slayer, S. O. D., Metallica....
I liked speed/trash/punk-hc as a youngster so inspiration came there...
i guess.... "
You can definitely hear the influences of the bands mentioned above in the songs, but the sound of the songs is still very unique. Unique enough to let your imagination run wild and just let yourself be carried away. Even if that's hard to imagine with some music genres.
A few years into their career, the album Vinyl Entrance was released in December 1989 under the label Megamania.

This is how their style, or rather their genre, is often described: The band plays classic thrash metal. The songs are compared to the early works of Testament.
The band’s history is also extremely diverse ~ The band was founded in 1987 by guitarist Jari Kelloniemi, drummer Pasi Takkula and singers Tepa Karjalainen and Aku Raaska. Together they recorded their first demo, Broken Marshall, on which Kelloniemi also played bass. The demo was released in the same year. The first gig was at a school in Kuusamo. Jari Aho played bass. Vesa Säkkinen joined the line-up as a second guitarist shortly afterwards. At the same time, singer Raaska left the band. With the changed line-up, they recorded another demo, Heathenism in Penitentiary, which was released in 1988 and sold 300 copies.
After the demo, another gig followed in Kuusamo, which increased the sales of the demo again. The band then went to Oulu for a band contest. Before that, they played a concert in Pudasjärvi and in Oulu. The band won the contest and was given the opportunity to record a single as a prize. To record the single Aggressive Confessor, the band went to a recording studio in Oulu with producer Mara Mäntyniemi. The recording took two days. After the release in 1988, several gigs followed in Oulu, Kemi, Tornio and Kajaani. Later, a larger gig followed in Oulu, where the group opened for Stone. The success of the album led to the band getting a contract with Megamania Records. The band recorded their debut album in Helsinki and released it in 1989. A number of gigs followed, including a week-long tour of Finland with Stone and Airdash.
The EP Back to Life was produced by Niksu Nikula and Antti Mommo and released in 1990. This was followed by gigs at the Nummirock Metal Festival, Kuusrock and Giants of Rock. After the performances, the band worked on the next album, which was released in 1991 under the name One World Without the End. After the recordings, drummer Pasi Takkula left the band and was replaced by Tapani Kokko. More performances and work on new songs followed. The next member to leave the band was Tepa Karjalainen, after appearing on two more demos. Vesa Säkkinen now took over as singer. Work on more songs followed. Jarkko Poussu joined the band as the new bassist. The band split up in 1994 and reunited in 2011. ~
Ceyla: "Are there any festivals or events in Germany, or even worldwide, that you would like to attend? Some of them always offer opportunities to apply."
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
A.R.G. : "I think every festival outside Finland would be nice. We havent played outside of Finland. Really, thats true."
As many of You know, i do love to recommend to different Festivals, like Dong Open Air, Full Force, Rock Harz, Summer Breeze, Turock Open Air , Party San Open Air, Frostfeuernächte, Dark Troll Festival and many many more.
Nonetheless, we're keeping our fingers crossed for the upcoming festival season for the band where theyget the Chance to Play.

Of course, we always give artists and musicians the option to leave a message for the readers. These messages are always very heartwarming, even if you shouldn't mention them in metal. And yet, they are all absolutely lovely people.
Ceyla: "Is there anything you would like the readers of this blog to know about you and your music?"
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
A.R.G.: "We are hoping and slowly trying to release some new shit. We dont hurry so calm down and wait.... keep on trashing and cheers!"
