First of all, as always, thank you to A la Carte for giving me permission to write this introduction.

As the readers of this blog must know by now, I’m often on Spotify and switch through so many artists. And in this sense, I also found A la Carte!

The Line-Up is as Such
Chef Highman - Drums (2018-present)
Chef Cuck - Guitars, Bass, Vocals (2018-present)
The Maitre 'd - Vocals (2022-present)

Their lyrical themes are unique in terms of death metal because they are not about death or the dark side of life, as the genre often takes it literally. In the case of this band, it is about morbid food, culinary dishes, and humor.
They were able to make their first digital release with their demo Tasteless Tastings in 2020.

1. Post Mortem Pate (03:43)
2. Amuse Douche (03:16)
3. Cadaviar (03:17)
Full-Length of this Demo is 10:16

As always, we were able to ask our questions, which we are happy to include.
Ceyla"Is there any band that inspires you the most? Or, if there isn’t such a band, where do you draw your inspiration from? If neither applies, how did you come up with these two sub-genres, if you can still call them that?

All of our questions were answered by the drummer of the band, Chef Highman. We give the bands or solo artists the chance to read the questions first and think them over, deciding if they want to answer them or not.

C.H: "Yes, I would say that the band Macabre is easily our biggest inspiration. Macabre's whimsical aporoach to a serious genre and topic matter was always iconic in our eyes. There musicianship was also at a high caliber which we strive to achieve. Also, personally For me (drummer) Dennis Ritchie was one of my biggest influences musically when starting out and learning.

You can definitely sense the influences from the band mentioned above, but A la Carte have found their own style, which they follow consistently. I haven’t been a fan for long, but from what I’ve heard so far, it’s something special.

In November 2020, the long-awaited album Soup Dejour was released on their Bandcamp. And this is also the Album through which I got to know them.
1. Soup Dejour (01:29)
2. Aborted Eggs Benedicts (03:45)
3. Hymen Drizzled Hotcakes (02:01)
4. Scalped Potatoes All Rotten (03:12)
5. Rancid Risotto (03:07)
6. Salted Sewer Sushi (01:57)
7. Macabre Salad (02:16)
8. Cock Pocket (02:17)
9. Fetal Fajitas (04:07)
10. Heinous hasenpfeffer (02:51)
11. Molted Melted Face Cake (05:18)
Full-Length Playtime: 32:20

Of course, there was also the question of the festivals.
Ceyla: "Are there any festivals or events in Germany, or even worldwide, that you would like to attend? Some of them always offer opportunities to apply.

Everyone has different ideas about which events they might be suitable for, so we are always curious to see what the answer will be.

C.H: "There is the obvious Wacken fest. Dartmouth and Heideberg would be equally as exciting. Even a small European tour that takes us to Germany would be a dream. Who knows, one day maybe Graspop lol.

Of course, we do our best to give 'smaller' bands a stage, and so we like to write to the festivals. Wacken often holds a competition for a performance there months in advance. The Dong Open Air also has something similar, but I personally don’t know the exact time frame.“
The only thing we could try would be to write to Graspop or, as always, share the Summer Breeze page.

Around November 2024, they released their album Born to Entertain which was an awesome addition to the previous album.
1. Born to Entertain (04:10)
2. Choice Cuts (Impaled cover) (03:34)
3. Ashtray Souffle (03:51)
4. Chamber Pot Pie (02:58)
5. Beef Stroakanoff (05:07)
6. Bulimic Beetle Bile Buillion (04:23)
7. Gluttonous Maximus (05:11)
8. Maxi Pad Thai (05:06)
9. Coffin Cake (03:30)
10. Terrormisu (03:35)
11. Deconstructed Part I (03:27)
12. Deconstructed Part II (03:25)
Full-Length Playtime: 48:17

Of course, we always give artists and musicians the option to leave a message for the readers. These messages are always very heartwarming, even if you shouldn't mention them in metal. And yet, they are all absolutely lovely people.
Ceyla: "Is there anything you would like the readers of this blog to know about you and your music?"
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
C.H: "Yes! Here are some links to our bandcamp and social media pages. I would be happy to provide 100 free download codes to our new album that was released in November for your readers. Other than that. Stay Hungry, Stay Horny!

All named artists, as well as festivals and the entire discography, are linked throughout the article!
