First of all i want to thank the Band A Dead Poem for giving me the Honor to write about them!
Many Groups that i know did got a certain Status about them but there are also some really great Underground Bands that deserves Recognition. I do am personaly more of a Symphonic/ Speed/ Power Metal hearer but sometimes even I get are Turn in other Genres or Sub Genres.
Mostly thanks to my Blog i discover such Great Bands as A Dead Poem!
The Duo's Line-Up is as Such:
Marlon Combate (Lead Guitar), Bass (2023-present)
Carlos Misantrophic (Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards, Drums (2023-present)
But since the Lyrical Themes (Death, Mourning, Misanthropy, Depression, Introspection, Cosmic universe) of the Songs does speak to many People i had to ask if i could write about them. Thankfully they said yes!
Both surprised the fans of the scene with a legendary single Until the Seventh Day on the 2023-11-02.

As always, we were able to ask our questions, but we always give the bands or solo artists the choice whether they want to answer them or whether we can get information in another way. The Frist Question as always was "Is there any Band that Inspires you the Most? Or if there is no such Band where do you get the Inspiration? If there aren't any, how did you come up with these two sub genres, if you can still call them that?" and of course we got a pure Honest Answer back "The three bands that inspire me the most and that influence A Dead Poem's sound are: Katatonia, Paradise Lost and Rotting Christ. Our musical proposal is precisely to rescue the essence and atmosphere abandoned in the first albums of the bands mentioned in the early 90s." .
In November 2023 they rolled out there First EP with the Name Absence of Light on Bandcamp.

I did ask Myself if i should ask this to every Artist since not Everybody has the desire to be on Festivals or Events but nonetheless i ask it "Are in Germany or more so in the World any Festivals or Events that you would like to attend? Some of them are always giving Chances to Apply to." As already written, we often get very different answers to this question and everytime they are Honest about all the Festivals they would love to Play at. "Germany is one of the birthplaces of Heavy Metal worldwide, which is why it has the biggest and most famous festivals of the genre and its branches, such as Wacken, Summer Breezer and others. Playing on one of these stages one day would be a great personal and professional achievement. " Wacken does have Months in advance a "Battle" for a Performance outlook there but thats difficult to Catch the right Moment. But for Summer Breeze, we are happy to share the festival's application website in the hope that one day it will work out.
About a Year later A Dead Poem published there two Single's Dressed in Black and Silent Tears Fall in April.
Dressed in Black was published on the 1st of April 2024 and Silent Tears Fall on the 26th of April 2024.

We couldn't help but ask the last question to our readers "Is there anything that you would like the Readers of this Blog to know about you and your Music?" In this Case we got the Answer of the Lead Guitarist Marlon with the Words >Yes, I would like to briefly introduce A Dead Poem to the readers.< "We are a Brazilian Doom/Black Metal band, formed in mid-2023 by myself, Marlon Combat and Carlos Misanthropic. Our discography consists of an EP “Absence of Life”, released in December 2023 by the label Cold Art Industry Records (Brazil) and our newest and first album “Abstract Existence”, released earlier this month by the Mexican label Personal Records. We practice Doom Black Metal, with some passages and elements of Dark and Gothic, characteristics present in the first albums of Katatonia, October Tide, Paradise Lost and Rotting Christ, which are our main influences.
To conclude, I would like to thank the space provided and congratulate those involved in this project, we wish success. To our fans and friends, follow us, 2025 will be a year of great surprises for A Dead Poem and be sure to share our sound made in doom!!!"
